SalsAmigos is a non-profit Teen Salsa Dance Program. The program teaches the Cuban style salsa called Rueda de Casino to teens after school. The program is very unique and teaches the lead and follow parts to all dancers. Salseritas is an all female performance group. We will soon be inviting Salseritos to join the group! The group performs in the area and dances the Cuban style of salsa called Rueda de Casino. The Salseritas, coached and instructed by Sam Gill, perform many rueda moves categorized as master level and create there own rueda moves frequently. Filming for the Salsa Challenge instructional video series is in progress. We are having a lot of fun making these videos and we think that every salsa dancer from beginner to advanced will learn from them and improve their salsa dance! Videos will be available to buy in January of 2009. Happy New Year! |

SalsaTALK is created by the community; we want your ideas, stories, suggestions, and feedback on what "salsa talk" to broadcast each show. SalsAmigos is currently filming the documentary that focuses on students at New Vista High School. It has been a blast working with these kids and here is a video showing the process a bit. The Documentary will go into the editing phase this January and we hope to finish it in Spring of 2009 |
